I've always owned Sony speakers or a dedicated company like Harmon, Klipsch, JBL etc. I never knew that LG made such great speakers. Especially in a soundbar. It was super easy to setup. It doesn't take up a ton of space in front of the TV either. The punch that comes out of the sub is incredible. The soundbar has 3 speakers facing out and 3 facing up. yes up. True Dolby Atmos requires this. Lots of sound modes, an app you can use to control all functions of the soundbar. Especially since the remote is quite basic. The 2 microphones on top allow a calibration feature so setup the best sound for your room. No matter where the subwoofer is located. Cinema is the only choice for movies. For talk shows, documentaries or news. Use Clear Voice. Sport sounds perfect listening to any sporting event. I really noticed a difference watching Blue Jays. You hear things you normally would only hear at a game. That said. Game mode is more than suffice. It gets intense when gaming and this bar holds up. AI mode is kind of tinny but what do you expect when you are making the tech figure out what sounds best based on what you are watching. They are not easy to find but know that they have add-on rear speakers (SPQ8-S) Not sold by MDG. So when I bought the SP80QY. I knew I needed these add-on surround speakers. Don't get me wrong. It sounded great without them. It sounds phenomenal now. The entire room is filled with different sounds. They are low profile and easily hidden. A nice sleek black look and the receiver in unobtrusive and fits anywhere out of sight. The speaker wire is isn't great quality but it doesn't need to be. At 15 feet there's lots of options. I definitely recommend this set. Like anything. Always take the warranty.
